Well, I was supposed to be writing this on Monday, but I forgot....
Week one was pretty good, until we hit the last game of the CHL finals on Sautrday....which we WON! Needless to say, I celebrated pretty hard with the team and made some poor choices health wise...it was fun and worth it during the process though. However I paid for is Sunday! Man, Mother's Day was ROUGH for me!!! I ate what I could keep down and help give me energy, which wasn't much and was a good amount of bready things. So....Monday began day 1 pretty much all over again. The good news was that I was down 2.2 lbs even after a rough weekend!
What I learned this weekend was life happens. You have a choice.... 1) Call your coach and make a game plan to celebrate, but not ruin your progress....or 2) Lay in the bed you made and get back on the horse. Don't let either option ruin anything for you. No reason to beat yourself up! Things happen!! So here I am...it's Friday and I've done GREAT this week! It doesn't really matter what the scale says, just that I am working towards optimal health!
Homework wise, I failed this week, but at least I have grace! Working on lesson 1 this week of Living a Longer, Healthier Life. It's always good to start over and refresh memory. You learn new things!

Back in the saddle again...this time not by myself!
I am sure I could look back and see how many times I have tried to restart what I was thinking of as a "diet"...yes I don't think my mind was completely wrapped around that this isn't a diet. I don't plan on finding this weight again and I need to view it as my health, my life. The more times I yo-yo the harder it is on my body and it has to stop...and it has to start with me.
I truly believe we were created to live in community. Live with one another...having a support group, a group that isn't afraid to call you out and make you grow and learn. We cannot go through life alone in many, many ways. Our personal walk with God isn't alone...HE is there with us along with the Holy Spirit and His Son Jesus. So why would I think I could do this alone. Why would I think that I could change years of bad choices and a messed up view of things by myself! I need to get back in the saddle of health, but this time not by myself!
We all know TJ is always with me and very supportive, but we also all know how having the spouse be the accountability partner can work out...so let's just not go there again. We support, but not going to coach each other this time. I'm so lucky to have such a huge group of cheerleaders and supporters in my life. I have many wonderful friends and family members that will always cheer me on no matter what I choose, as long as it is making me happy. I am also very thankful to have met many wonderful people at Take Shape for Life over the last few years. They have stretched me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow...now I have many friends going to help me get this weight off for good and bring my sexy back. Thank you +lynn phelps for stepping in as the role of my coach. I promise to step back and let you do what you do best cuz obviously I haven't known "better".
Thank you all for your support! 2013 is going to be one of the best years yet!!!

Stop Challenge Choose
Here I am once again restarting things...I won't promise to get better at posting, but hope to try and stay accountable to myself. I'm tired of restarting things in life and just half trying to accomplish things I want. It's time...and it's time to quit having this conversation and post. Today is day 2 of being back on program. We have two fun trips planned in the next couple months and I have big expectations for myself. Both in loosing weight and sticking to the plan through those trips. It's time to focus on me...not to be selfish but to get health for the next stage in life. We are still trying and hoping to have children, but we have also felt led to do more for children in need...so we have decided to become foster parents.
One saying we have in our program is to Stop, Challenge, and Choose. This applies in more than being tempted by a food choice not on plan, but in all things.
We are excited and also nervous about this next stage in our lives. Here we go!!!

Week 14 Weigh In
It's weigh in day!!! I am happy to report I am down 2.6 from last week!! That's a total of 24.4lbs since June 1. That puts me 11.8 away from my goal for the end of the month and 31.8 from my tattoo goal. I also calculated the inches lost in the last two weeks and that was 3.75 inches! Woot! It just shows if you make the decision to get healthy, follow our easy plan, and don't cheat (!) the pounds will just melt away. Attached is my beginning June picture and the now--after 3 months! Can't wait for the next picture (hopefully monthly now)!

Drum Roll Please......
So today is one week since I'm back on program (and remember I'm pretty much starting over having gained what I lost back). The scale this morning said 196.8! That means last week I lost 9.2lbs!!!!
I was shooting for 8 so I surpassed my first week goal! Woot! Now my next goal is for when we go to Washington DC for vacation/conference. I am shooting for being 180 by then so I have a hug goal of 16.8lbs in 5 weeks! I can and will do this! Thank you all for you encouraging words and support! Check back in next Friday for my next weigh in!!!
Oh and I got to move my marbles!!!! (insert some sort of joke here) I can't wait till mine look more like TJs but I can and will get there!

Day 3...
I survived day 2! There were many temptations including Kerry's world famous Oreo Balls (Oreo's are my favorite!). The BBQ was hard but got through only eating 1/2 a burger--no toppings! Then dinner at Pluckers! I managed to get myself a salad with my naked chicken tossed is a sauce. Pretty good if I say so myself! And I had water!! Not a mother plucker! Now it's day 3...the next 2 are usually my hardest as the hunger from detoxing hits and sometimes a headache. Pushing through and can't wait for the scale Friday (yes I changed my mind cuz I really want to move the marbles of pounds lost!!!).
This week also begins summer clean out for me. One room at a time getting rid of stuff and organizing! First the office pit, then kitchen and living room, bed room, bathroom, etc. I hope the downstairs is done by the end of June!! Also Tuesday I start watching my nieces! Looking forward to some fun crafts! This week we're gunna make our own crayons as I have tons broken laying around!! :)

Day 1
Well day one is in the books. That's usually one of the hardest days just to keep on track. The chips and salas at dinner were hard to resist, but i got through it! Yeah me!!!!
Now the next 2-3 days are the second rough part then it's smooth sailing. After creating weight loss tracking jars, I think I'm going to weigh in weekly so I can move the marbles! I'm excite about this part! Each marble is a 1/2 pound. That way I get to move them more often and more of them! Here's to day 2!!! Let's go!

Reset!!
The last few weeks has sent me on a whirlwind. I can't get my brain to completely shut off and totally stressing myself out. On top of that I'm not in my daily devotional and not staying on plan with Take Shape for Life. So today I'm hitting the reset button! I'm getting myself back on track. As soon as I finish this post, I'm grabbing my bible and doing my daily study. I've started off the day with my Medifast Hot Cocoa made with coffee and when it's finished, only water till I've had 64 oz. My timer is set to eat every 2.5 hours and on plan! I can do this!!! I have 11 weeks to loose 25 lbs, and it will be done! I really hope I have it done in 8 weeks!
Ok so that vent is over...now what else do I need to reset. Well, the last 6 months have been exciting as we are starting to try to have a family. Now I have hit frustration and stress about it, which not only isn't good for you, but also hurts conception! ARGH! So, it's time to stop tracking everything and just have some fun. My obsession with The Bump 411 app, needs to cease--only use it when have a serious question. I know God has a plan and someday I'll see that the timing is perfect. It's time to turn it over to God and trust Him! Will you please pray for me!?
The last part stressing me out is the job front. I've enjoyed my 7 years at Starbucks, but I'm so ready for it to be over. I really hope that come mid-June, when my stock options are fully vested, that we can cash that out, pay off bills, and I can turn in my two week notice. The stress there is just not worth it! I love going to Rountree to sub and be with the people there. Part of me really wants a full-time job there, and part of me really likes to be able to pick and choose my days. I haven't looked really anywhere for a teaching job, due to everything going on in the teaching world, guess I should get my act together, cuz you never know! The last job hat I wear is a Take Shape For Life Health Coach, which I feel I'm slacking off on. This week I have today (Monday) and Wednesday off which I plan to try and organize my life back together. I wish my phone would sync to Outlook so I don't have to put it in two places, but hopefully that's coming with an upgrade soon to the iPhone4 (or 5 depending on it's release). If you know of people looking for a health way to loose 2-5 lbs a week send them to my website (www.TeamOgroske.com). I'd love to help them on their journey!
Ok, so there is my rant for the day. Thanks for reading, and praying.

Camping!!
Ok so this weekend was the first time that we went camping together. I went during 8th grade on a wilderness trip, but other than that I have never been! I must say I had a BLAST! The first night sleeping was tricky, especially with the dogs. We have learned we need to get another bigger air mattress so that they can get under the covers with us. I guess they got cold?! They behaved really well, which makes me really happy that we can do this more often with them and it's fairly inexpensive, especially with Take Shape For Life! I have 5 meals already for me so we're just really cooking one meal a day! It was AWESOME! I even lost 2.6 lbs last week! WOOT!
In other news, I'm excited that slowly but surely I am gaining clients and helping people become healthier! If you know anyone (or maybe it's yourself) that is wanting to shed little or lots send them to www.TeamOgroske.com. There's alot of information and stories about the program! I am hoping by the end of the summer that I will not longer have to work at Starbucks! I love it there, but I'm ready to say farewell! Not sure how the job hunt is really looking for next year. There is a possibility at the school I sub at, but won't know more till May. Maybe I won't need to work ;) and will just sub again.
In other news for me, still hoping that someday soon I can say we are adding to our family. Trying to not get frustrated and just let God be in control. It's hard when you tend to be a control freak for things to not happen when you are ready. I think about everyone I know is also posting about having a baby whether its they just had a baby, are in their pregnancy, or just found out they are pregnant. I need to ignore it, be happy for them, and just allow it to happen at some point! I know I'll be a mom someday, just not sure when God has that planned :)
