Brown Bag Dinner!

Tonight we are going to have our second monthly brown bag dinner. TJ came up with this idea a while ago that instead of going out to eat on Friday night, we could bring our dinners and give the money to someone in need. What we came up with was that we wanted to first get behind out church with our Ethiopia project and sponsor at least one child in Gondr for going to school! The other area we felt we could contribute to was Kiva.org. A few of us attended Leadership Summit '09 and loved what Kiva is doing. We are going to establish a group that we (as well an anyone else who wants to contribute) can join and contribute into a fund. Once a month when we gather we can then decide whom we would like to loan our money to! I think this is awesome and totally admire my husband for wanting to give back instead of always consuming! What an awesome heart he has!!! I love ya hunny! Anyways, if you are interested let me know and I will give you our group name (once it is formed). If you have any other questions, let me know!

Ok I have been playing with the settings on the blog for an hour or so now and no one really ever looks here :) hehe. Gunna try to start using this more!

Spring Cleaning in the Fall

Ok so I have been working on my room today...trying to get it picked up for Aleyda tomorrow to clean. I always start things like this and then I decide to deep clean! Since I have lost 50 lbs since my surgery it's a good idea to start tossing clothes. Someone mentioned keeping some for when I am pregnant, but I think I'l just gunna get kute pregnancy clothes. I'll keep what I like, but most of it is needing to go bye-bye. It's fun to get rid of things. The only problem is I can't go through TJ's stuff and I need him for things up high, etc. Oh well. Maybe this weekend we'll go through the rest of the house. We pretty much have done the living room (minus the coat closet) and started the office. It still needs to be finished too. Anyway, done with my break so I need to get back at it so TJ can go to bed soon.
